A Room for Romeo Brass (1999)

Two twelve-year-old boys, Romeo and Gavin, undergo an extraordinary test of character and friendship when Morell, a naive but eccentric and dangerous stranger, comes between them. Morell befriends with the two boys and later asks them to help him pursue Romeo’s beautiful elder sister. He gradually becomes more violent after she rejects him …
Two young boys grow apart, when a older man (read 20-ish) starts hanging about with them. The irony of this fine film, is that, initially, we feel sorry for this character (MORELL) but soon we find out more sinister things about him, and the movies tone changes, but what has followed is so good, the sudden plot twists leave the viewer feeling very quesey. It can be likened to, maybe, a fight breaking out in a pub. The feeling of repulsion, yet the facination of watching. The violence in this movie, is more believable than a dozen DIE HARDs, and all the more suspensful. I defy anyone, not to be on the edge of their seats at the climax of this movie.
